FHP-X.X – Hose Protector Bands
FJORD AVIATION PRODUCTS Hose Protector Bands are made of abrasion resistant and UV resistant urethane polymer. They are designed to fit around the hose every 3 to 4 feet lifting that portion of the hose slightly off the ground protecting the hose from wear when dragging across the ramp, especially at fillstands, offloading headers and long hose lines. BONUS: they reduce frictional drag, making dragging long heavy hoses easier.

These Hose Protector Bands are made to order and fit hoses from 1.5” ID to 4.0” ID. The exact part number is determined by the size of the hose, for example if Hose Protector Bands are to be used on a 3.0” ID hose the part number would be FHP-3.0. Each Hose Protector Band comes with 2 cable ties for securing the band to the hose.

FHP-1.5 fits 1.5” hose
FHP-2.0 fits 2.0” hose

Installation Instructions for Protective Hose Bands
Tools needed:
large locking grip pliers (vice grips)
flat bladed screwdriver
sheet metal shears or diagonal cutter (dikes)

1. With the hose in a relaxed state, remove the adhesive covering on the back of the hose protector then wrap the protector band around the hose and clamp it in place as tightly as possible using the locking grip pliers.

2. Wrap each cable tie around each grooved end of the hose protector. Each tie must be all the way down in the grooves and completely around the protector with each locking clamp in the space between the ends of the hose protector.

3. Use the pliers and flat blade screwdriver to pull each cable tie as tight as possible.

- Trim the excess of the cable tie with the shears or diagonal cutter.
